SOCIAL MEDIA-IMPORTANCE OF FACEBOOK

Social media is a collective terminology that refers to online
platforms or applications that serve to connect people across the globe. It
offers its patrons the opportunity to actively engage each other in real time
using their computers, mobile phones and other electronic devices. Some of the
popular social media websites include: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and
so forth.
The most widely used social media website is Facebook. Launched in
the year 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg and other co-founders, Facebook has grown
rapidly and amassed billions of subscribers, making it one of the leading
giants in the social networking business. In this article, I discuss some
benefits we drive from using Facebook.
It affords online socialization for people from all parts of the
globe. Facebook subscribers can send and receive friend requests from members
from different parts of the world. Users can private-message virtually any
member who has an account on the Facebook platform. I admire and appreciate how
the development team of Facebook constantly update their software to include
essential functionalities such as video calling, audio calling, live chats,
setting up of groups, pages and myriad others.
The above exemplified capabilities of Facebook have allowed its
users to meet new friends, former classmates, former teachers, coworkers,
students from different continents and a lot more. As I type this article, I
have approximately 5000 friends on Facebook. This is a big number.
The 5000 friends include a lot of girls who I can’t miss, if I’m
actually determined to engage them in a relationship. Several married couples
point to Facebook as their first meeting ground. Undoubtedly, it is convincing
that Facebook is one of the most important web applications ever developed,
that has actually achieved its goal of connecting people.
Facebook also serves as a free online publishing platform. Users
can update their status, publish articles, share stories, promote music and
websites for a little fee. With the click of a button, account holders can read
a lot of news from different categories such as sports, politics,
entertainment, business, jokes and so on. Individuals can freely express
themselves by typing what is on their and posting it on their wall.
Academicians and organizations with varying qualifications or
specializations produce useful knowledge on topics in academia, science and
technology. Students can follow scientists, engineers, doctors, teachers,
artists and other prominent personalities on Facebook to learn a lot from them.
This whole experience is just awesome. Facebook is a big game changer.
Also, Facebook has offered direct and indirect employment to its
customers. The company frequently hires people with different skills to
maintain, monitor and to develop more interesting features to the application.
Interestingly, some people have been employed to manage the Facebook accounts
of big organizations (companies) and personalities. These are called, social
media managers. It is possible that the early Facebook developers never
imagined this when they were coding the first Facebook application. The
platform also allows the boosting of posts and adverts. People make a living
out of Facebook by dealing in assorted merchandise.
Importantly, Facebook is a source of entertainment for many
people, including me. The website is littered with a lot of comedians who posts
funny stories or statuses. A depressed or lonely person can resort to Facebook
to relieve himself from boredom, just by logging into his user account.
Personally, I like to scroll through news feeds on Facebook when I wake up
midnight.
So far, it appears Facebook is a blessing from above. The
application has solved a lot of societal challenges which hampered our progress
before its inception. Now it’s at our disposal; we should be grateful for that.
However, I would like to state that this is just a handful of the advantages of
Facebook. The application probably exceeds the limits of my cognition.
Ladies and Gentlemen, we are lucky to be alive in the nick of time
to witness these groundbreaking innovations which are redefining the future of
humanity. In the meantime, you can relish the beneficial aspect of Facebook
while I retire to evaluate the negative repercussions of this blessing.
Thank You, and see you soon.

Yes in the World Wide Web, social media platforms have completely changed the way we communicate with each other and even the promotional methods have also undergone drastic changes. Even for my old business I have been using facebook ads management Los Angeles services and we get super nice results in terms of increased sales graph with this approach.
