Verily, the rate of insecurity in our nation is appalling. Day in and day out, unfortunate civilians get shot and robbed by gunmen on our highways, streets and even in the ghettos. Armed robbery has grown to become a bothering issue. While bandits mercilessly cheat and torture hard-working citizens, the police and the army who swore oaths to protect us are sometimes outsmarted by these gangsters. Could it be that our security personnel are not well equipped? Honestly, let’s investigate the causes of armed robbery in the following paragraphs. Unemployment is an instigator of armed robbery. Lack of jobs is the number one ceremony which outdoors a lot of these criminals. Like it’s famously said, ‘the devil finds work for the idle hands’. Armed robbers are illegally self-employed youth who wrote millions of application letters and got rejected.  After trying unsuccessfully to secure white collar jobs, they forcibly lay their hands on illicit and life-threatening blue-collar jobs.
