4 TYPES OF FRIENDS IN LIFE

Friends are all around us in all spheres of our lives. You grow together with friends, school with friends, play with friends and sometimes even marry friends. Friends refer to people, other than our family members who we share emotional connections with. They are companions who we spend our time with and show affection for. Are all friends the same in character, gender and physique? Absolutely, no. In this regard, it dawned on me today to try to classify the kinds of friends we have and what influences or contributions they make in our lives. 4 types of friends are discussed below

Humble and supportive

This category of friends are so friendly. They have no trace of arrogance and disrespect towards their companions. Friends of this nature are always there for their counterparts. Be it physical work, attending social functions such as parties or whatever, they avail themselves to support their friends to perform any task. Another interesting feature of this type of friends is that they offer advice to their colleagues when they go wrong or are taking crucial decisions. They don’t bother to pick up the phone to call their friends to find out how they are doing. This is because they aren’t consumed by pride or negligence. Even though, their other pals might not be returning them the same favour, they seem not to mind, except in situations whereby the other friend becomes unappreciative. Painfully, these categories of friends aren’t so easy to find. All friends have their negative sides, so it’s definitely impossible to find an ideal friend. Some humble friends could later surprise you.

Snake in the grass

These kinds of friends are actually supposed to be called, traitors and backbiters. Friends in this category are completely untrustworthy. They appear to be friends with others, but they don’t hesitate to betray their friends. It isn’t that friends of this kind aren’t helpful. They sometimes support their friends if they call on them, but they are very bad at keeping secrets. They have too much taste for gossiping such they can secretly insult and condemn their friends to strangers. Ignorantly, they think that they are so smart in deceptive tactics. But how long can the truth be hidden? Pretenders of this nature are eventually exposed to everybody. You might rather want to be friendless than to keep such liars as friends. They don’t mind revealing your weaknesses to your enemies. By so doing, they end up becoming your enemies. Some friends in this category can even go and sleep with your girlfriend/boyfriend behind your back. Normally, they have innocent looks and could appear to be silent and cool. You have to be wise enough to identity these kinds of friends and tell them your mind. If they won’t admit their guilt, apologize and change for the better, just drop them.

Quick tempered and arrogant

This refers to Mr. Know All kinds of friends. They are hot tempered and lack understanding. They easily get offended by little things and think that they know everything. Friends in this group like to argue unnecessarily. However, they hate to be corrected, but they are quick to always try to correct others. Interestingly, friends of this nature usually have no time to backbite or gossip about others. They have no ill feelings for their colleagues. It is possible to trust them sometimes. Their big weakness is just that they are always right. It is better not engage in heated arguments with these types of friends for long. You could easily destroy your friendship. The best time to advise them is to wait for their temper to cool. Failure to do so, they think you are insulting their ignorance. However, it is possible to meet arrogant friends who aren’t quick-tempered. You only need to be compromising if you wish to continue your friendship with these caliber of friends.

Lazy jerks

Their name says all about them, friends in this classification are so good at laziness. They aren’t supportive to others, nor themselves. The only time you find them is when there is a gathering somewhere or when they see that their friends have got some money. They like to party a lot. Call them to help you do some chores, and you will never see them until you have finished suffering. However, friends in this category can be so fun to be with. Their only weakness is that they like to idle, and sometimes they themselves have no zeal to struggle for themselves. They like to depend on their family members for survival. Their laziness is just unimaginable. However, they are very good in convincing others to do bad thing. You need to be smart to figure them out and assist them to work hard. They could change for better if you persist in advising them. It might not be fair to simply ignore such kinds of friends. They need your support to set their own goals.
